WELCOME

Hi friends, I’m Jordan.

As an Army brat I grew up around every kind of community and yet often felt othered. My body was too big, my skin too dark, my hair too unruly, and my voice too loud. I didn’t fit and yet you couldn’t miss me. I learned to hate those things and went from always having something to say to finding new ways to silence myself.

In a therapy session at 26 years old, I was asked what I needed. I didn’t know how to answer that question. Because I never let myself answer it beforehand. I was the one who enjoyed fulfilling other people’s needs. I was used to doing the caring, not receiving it. But it was time for a change. I had to speak up.

In 2019 I found my voice again.

After burning myself out for the nth time as a wedding planner, I began advocating for myself with clearer boundaries, strategies that worked for me, and care I truly needed.

I learned I could still be an advocate for the causes I care about without sacrificing my well-being to do it. I’d watched organizer friends battle stress related illnesses because they weren’t caring for themselves either. It shifted everything for me. I shifted.

I didn’t want to watch another bleeding heart throw in the towel. We know how to speak up for others, I want to help you learn how to use your voice to sustain your mental, emotional, and physical health.

You give a lot. It’s time to learn how receive just as much in rest, joy, and care.

I’m here to help bleeding hearts rest to reclaim their joy and sustain their advocacy.

Our Values, Mission, & Boundaries

Here’s What We Do Here

This is what we practice, prioritize, and value:

Radical

Clarity  · Honor  · Candor  · Grace  · Joy  · Community

Our mission is to honor and harbor space for bleeding hearts to rest
in order to sustain their joy, advocacy, and communities.

Our Boundaries Are as Follows:

  • We don’t waste time or energy responding to racist, sexist, ableist, fatphobic, and otherwise hateful rhetoric. We report, and we block. We don’t invite that energy in.

  • We prioritize in-depth communication over constant accessibility to us via social and our email inbox. So expect calls and emails to be returned thoughtfully within 72 hours. If it’s an emergency, ask yourself what constitutes an emergency and why not having immediate access to us makes you uncomfortable.

  • We practice intentional scheduling so we do not book calls, meetings, and even clients based on volume, we schedule based on impact. Meaning you might not get on our calendar at the exact moment you want and we recognize that you might not want to wait to work with us. We can’t serve everyone and that’s okay.

  • We believe in collaboration over competition but we also believe in character over cult of personality. We are fiercely protective of our community. That means we’re incredibly selective of who we work with and how we work together.

  • We practice the joy and restorative care that we preach by resting when necessary, even if it’s perceived as inconvenient. That doesn’t make us inconsistent, instead it keeps us in integrity to you, this work, and our mission. This looks like a July sabbatical, a one month winter break, and a Monday - Thursday work week.
